We are keen to play key role in cellular economy, says AP MSME Minister

Visakhapatnam: Minister for MSME; SERP, NRI Empowerment & Relations, Kondapalli Srinivas on Friday said as part of resolve to achieve net zero emissions by 2047, Andhra Pradesh is marching ahead to position itself as a pioneer in cellular economy. He was addressing as the chief guest at the Sustainability Summit 2025 organised by AP unit of CII with the theme “Towards a Greener & Resilient Future.” The summit featured a distinguished lineup of speakers and experts from the sustainability sector.

The Minister said: “Sustainability is not merely a goal - it is crucial for AP’s proactive role in sustainable development. He spoke about the government initiatives focused on renewable energy, clean manufacturing, and circular economy models. He noted that the state, with its strategic coastal advantage and growing industrial base, is uniquely positioned to set national benchmarks in green growth. The Minister emphasized that MSMEs are not only the backbone of employment and entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh, but also vital change agents in the global sustainability movement., facilitate low-interest funding for eco-conscious businesses, build export capabilities for sustainable products and provide training to help small enterprises align with global ESG standards.
